Our Story

The Taylor Area Tennis Association (TATA) is an organization established in 2011 to promote the game of tennis in our area which includes but is not limited to Taylor, Thrall, Thorndale, Rockdale, Academy, Granger, and Bartlett.

Tennis is an activity that can be enjoyed by all ages and it is our goal to encourage anyone and everyone to experience the game that this organization is so passionate about. 

When TATA was first organized, a primary goal was to ensure that the courts at Murphy Park would stay in excellent condition so that the public could enjoy going out and playing - from social or recreational play to competitive matches.  As the years have gone by, the courts have seen many improvements and many activities have been added but it does not stop there -we have many planned improvements for the future. In partnership with the City of Taylor, TATA is committed to making Murphy Park Tennis the equal of any tennis facility in our area.
